Rules defining the calculation of the case lump sum and the rules for merging HP

On 25.6.2024 the Steering Committee approved an updated version of the documentRules defining the calculation of the case lump sum and the rules for merging HP with effect from 1.1.2025.

The following changes have been made to the document:

• Defining the calculation of the treatment period of merged inpatient cases when there is a merger of HPs where one of the HPs started and ended on the same calendar day as the other of the merged HPs started/ended, along with proposed examples.
• UHCs of a different type aligned with the document for Base Rates,
  • also aligned with the reporting of at least one performance from the revised Exhibit 1.
• Addition of Attachment 4,
  • List of DRG non-relevant specialties.
• Modification of case lump sum for organ transplants.
• Chapter 6 - examples of specific situations for calculating treatment time.
