Updated documents - DR274e
The CKS in its DRG Data and Hospital Costing Working Group has prepared and agreed on an update of the data interface for the reporting of inpatient healthcare services according to DRGs (hereafter DR274e). This update was approved by the Steering Committee on June 25, 2024.
Updated DR274e documents:
- Data interface for reporting of DRG inpatient healthcare services
- Data interface for reporting of inpatient healthcare according to DRG changes
DR274e comes into force on 1 January 2025. Healthcare providers will report healthcare provided under this data interface for the first time for January 2025.
The following also apply to the reporting of inpatient healthcare:
- Newly added items 58-60 DRG marker codes, related diagnosis/performance codes with DRG markers, DRG marker values are optional as of 1.1.2025. Submitted item values follow the "Methodology for the use of DRG markers in the DRG system". Newly added DRG marker entries are not filled in the corrective and additive batches for periods until 1.1.2025.
- Correction and add-on benefits for periods prior to the DR274e effective date will be reported by inpatient healthcare providers according to the DR274e data interface from and including 1.2.2025.
For reporting of same-day care for inpatient providers, the following applies:
- Reporting of inpatient cases, including ICU inpatient cases, follows the same rules in DR274e,
- the reporting of overnight care at PHC units via DR274e is possible as long as the PHC has contractually agreed this reporting method with the PP,
- the option of reporting overnight SSA via DR753b remains open.
- corrective and additive benefits for periods prior to the contractual effective date of the overnight SSA at the PHCU's sites shall use DR753b reporting. For corrective and additive benefits from the contractual effective date at the PHC sites, use DR274e.
The following shall apply for reporting of overnight care at overnight SNF providers:
- Reporting of overnight SNF via DR274e is possible as long as the PHCS has contractually agreed to this reporting method with the EP.
- When the PHCP has contractually agreed with the EP to report the UHC through DR274e, the PHCP shall report the UHC for the first time for the period following the contractual effective date. For corrective and additive benefits for periods prior to the contractual effective date, the PHPP shall use DR753 reporting. For corrective and additive benefits from the contractual effective date onwards, the PHP shall use DR274e.
