Data quality
CKS DRG
CKS DRG team primarly focused to analyse data quality obtained by health care providers and finalised feedback. The methodology of DRG data validation with outputs has almost 400 pages. CKS DRG understands the importance of DRG data validation and its consecutive use. Sections that are still awaiting Your feedback are the Definition handbook and the Catalgoue of Lump sums.
CKS DRG team in cooperation mainly with the Slovak Radiology Institute begun to revise 8r group contained in the list of medical procedures.
Economic field
Economic team revised the 4th chapter of the Calculation handbook, which was checked with the help of feedback with working group representatives of cost calculations per hospitalised case. Due to that, the revision of groups of cost centres, during which undergoes only minimal adjustments, was completed. In June, 2 working group meetings were held and a personal meeting in Teaching hospital Tranava. During the meetings, possible abmiguities concerning calculations costs as well as medical abmiguities were discussed. Currently, CKS DRG team is working on revision of the first attachment in the Calculation handbook - the chart of accounts and its updates. Other attachments will consecutively be reviewed.
IT field
All health care providers submitted the annual DRG data. The complete list with dates of DRG data submission is available HERE. We would like to thank all participants for their cooperation and we strongly believe that the following year will be even more sucessful. 14 health care providers that did not submit the annual data within the postponed deadline, please be prepared to submit DRG data obtained in 2021 on time.
Methodology of validation is being finalised and analytic summary of data quality is being prepared. CKS DRG plans to provide feedback of the most frequent errors that were identified to health care providers respectively. The methodology contains around 400 pages.
Medical field
CKS DRG medical team continues to analyse feedback and to prepare various methodologies and reviews that will be described below.
The Definition handbook
CKS focused on processing suggestions obtained in feedback, and on further discussion with experts. Moreover, a second voting in per rollam form of the working group (WG DH) concerning processing feedback suggestions was held. Comments during the second voting are being evaluated and those considered relevant will be added to solutions and presented to another voting.
CKS processed 18 feedback suggestions (FS), 13 FS were introduced to WG DH in order to provide their standpoint. The remaining 16 FS is to be processed.
Coding rules
A scheme of uniform coding of patients diagnosed with COVID-19 has been approved and is valid from June 1st.
The List of medical procedures
Solutions to feedback suggestions were introduced to the working group (WG LMP) and WG has voted. Suggestions that were commented by WG LMP, CKS has analysed again. Based on the analysis, comments were evaluated and the relevant ones were added to the solution. WG LMP voted about these comments as well. Feedback concerning LMP was completed in June.
In collaboration with specialised institutions, a revision of 8r- group in LMP was launched (institutions: Slovak Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Medicine, Slovak Society of Nephrology, Slovak Society of Hematology and Transfusiology and Slovak Radiological Association).
